The Lawn Community Association is a local membership organisation and your support is greatly appreciated.

 

There are three categories of membership:

 

- Ordinary Member - All residents, aged 18 and over and living within the 'Area-of-Benefit', generally called the "Lawn Area" (as defined in the Constitution) have status.

- Full Member - These are residents of Lawn who have paid a membership subscription for the current year.

Ordinary Members of the Association, by paying a Membership fee of £1 per year, may become a Full Member with full-voting rights at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). - See 'Lawn Community Association Membership' section below - 

An AGM is held in every year, unless there are extenuating circumstances, to which all residents are invited but only fully paid-up Members are elligible to vote at an AGM.

- Associate Member - Applies to anyone, subject to the approval of the General Committee, residing outside the "Lawn Area"  Associate Members may elect up to two representatives who may vote on their behalf at an AGM.

- Junior Member - Applies to those under the age of 18 who have paid a Membership subscription for the current year.

 

Benefits of membership are many including:-

 

    - Paid-up Members, both Full and Associate, are entitled to join any of the LCA Section group activities.

    and demonstrate a commitment to the Association by helping to run the Centre.

    - Full Members are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting, thus having a say in who/how the Association is run.

    - Full Members are also be entitled to stand for election.

 

Our subscription year starts in January and runs for 12 months; if already a Member, don't forget to renew for 2025!

 

Currently, Membership costs just £1.00 per person per calendar year. There is an application form available for downloading by clicking here ->> "MEMBERSHIP", or a form can be obtained from the Centre Office. Please note that each person is required to fill in a seperate form, even if residing at the same address, and be returned completed with address, signed and dated. please.
